2021年圣誕節(jié)第二天，德州 Garland 一家便利店發(fā)生槍擊案。14歲的 Abel Elias Acosta allegedly 掏槍掃射，當場打死三名少年，另有一人受傷。
死者年齡分別是14歲、16歲和17歲。兇手本人也是14歲——這個年齡放在國內剛上初二。
案發(fā)后 Abel 的父親 Richard Acosta Jr. 第二天主動去警局自首，但堅稱不知道兒子參與了槍擊。警方調查發(fā)現，正是他開車接送 Abel 往返便利店。2023年，Richard 因 capital murder 被判終身監(jiān)禁。
Abel 本人則成功逃往墨西哥，至今下落不明。FBI 本周四宣布懸賞最高5萬美元，征集能將其逮捕并定罪的線索。「We know he has longstanding ties to the Garland area」，達拉斯 FBI 負責人 R. Joseph Rothrock 說，「The FBI will continue to work with our partners」。換句話說，三年了，這案子還沒完。
2025年12月達拉斯縣簽發(fā)逮捕令，2026年1月聯(lián)邦又加了「逃避起訴非法離境」的罪名。現在 Abel 已經18歲，成年了——如果他還活著的話。
