編者按：當(dāng)西方的全球基建倡議仍停留在PPT和地緣政治幻想中時，中國的“一帶一路”已將技術(shù)、工業(yè)與人口連結(jié)成實實在在的“發(fā)展走廊”。4月14日，瑞典“一帶一路”研究所聯(lián)合創(chuàng)始人、副所長，著名國際關(guān)系學(xué)者侯賽因·阿斯卡里（Hussein Askary）將做客人大重陽區(qū)域國別論壇之“美國系列”第二十一場并圍繞其新合著著作《將新絲綢之路延伸至西亞和非洲》，深入探討“一帶一路”倡議對西亞與非洲的影響。現(xiàn)將相關(guān)議程安排如下：

主講人簡介
侯賽因·阿斯卡里是著名的國際關(guān)系與地緣經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)者，瑞典“一帶一路”研究所副所長，兼任國際席勒研究所西亞地區(qū)協(xié)調(diào)專員和經(jīng)濟(jì)戰(zhàn)略分析員，以及廣東國際戰(zhàn)略研究院特聘研究員。長期從事“一帶一路”倡議相關(guān)的政策研究與國際協(xié)作。他多次參與中歐文明對話論壇及國際研討會，在2023年《中國式現(xiàn)代化與文明多樣性》新媒體論壇等活動中闡述了“一帶一路”倡議在全球治理方面的相關(guān)觀點，并于同年參與編撰文化“一帶一路”專題研究報告 。

While Western global infrastructure initiatives remain confined to PowerPoint presentations and geopolitical fantasies, China's Belt and Road Initiative has already connected technology, industry, and population into a tangible "development corridor." On April 14, Hussein Askary, co-founder and deputy director of the Swedish Belt and Road Institute and a renowned scholar of international relations, will join the 21st session of the RDCY US Series. During his keynote speech, he will present insights from his newly co-authored book, Extending the New Silk Road to West Asia and Africa, offering an in-depth analysis of the Belt and Road Initiative's impact on West Asia and Africa. Speaker Biography:
Hussein Askary is a distinguished scholar in international relations and geo-economics, specializing in global development initiatives and their impact on regional dynamics. He concurrently serving as the West Asia Regional Coordinator and Economic Strategy Analyst at the International Schiller Institute, and a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Guangdong Institute for International Strategic Studies.
He has long been engaged in policy research and international cooperation related to the Belt and Road Initiative. He has participated in numerous Sino-European Civilization Dialogue Forums and international seminars, and in events such as the 2023 New Media Forum on "Chinese-Style Modernization and Civilizational Diversity", he articulated his views on the Belt and Road Initiative in global governance. In the same year, he also participated in compiling a special research report on the cultural aspects of the Belt and Road Initiative.
