鶴峰站是沿江高鐵海拔最高的站：鶴峰站軌頂海拔高度1357米，是全線海拔最高的車站。鶴峰站是線正下站，站臺海拔1358米，站房海拔1340米，出站層海拔1334米。鶴峰站位于鶴峰縣燕子鎮清湖村，距縣城25公里，緊鄰屏山景區、董家河景區、五龍山水景區以及在建的芹草坪滑雪場。
