大縱湖鎮紅星村一組莊中河生產河緊鄰蟒蛇河生態廊道，其存在雜草叢生及白色泡沫箱、塑料薄膜、安全頭盔、破損日光燈等垃圾堆積，將帶來多重嚴重危害。
這些污染物經雨水沖刷滲入地下或直排河道，直接威脅作為鹽城市區核心飲用水源地的蟒蛇河水質安全 。
