有東大學(xué)者否認(rèn)《The Mayflower Compact》（《五月花號(hào)公約》）的價(jià)值，根據(jù)正統(tǒng)的《AP米國(guó)歷史》也是肯定《五月花號(hào)公約》的。
?該公約確立公民之自愿（will）先于自治（self-governing），而自治（self-governing）又先于法治（legisIation）。
